Well ... not really. It's just a play on words, after all, it IS may.
We had guests - friends of John and Hope: Aaron, Erica and Abby Lindburgh from Royerton, Indiana and Erica's parents, Eric and Mary Seavers from Eaton, Indiana. The entertainment value of the show was doubled when Abby and John and Hope's grandson, Elliot, cut a rug together during second half.
The youngsters really get into the music at the hall ... last week, Michael and Joanna's granddaughter, Brooklyn, who is not even a year old, sang her heart out on several numbers. She'll probably be the next music hall female vocalist. I'm going to call her to fill in next time I can't be there (her grandpa is our dancing bassman).
Musicians & vocalists:
Greg Duncan (1st half), Hope Newby (2nd half) - Piano
John Newby - Alto/Tenor Sax, Clarinet
Steve Newby - Guitar
Jeff Phillips - Drums
Gerald Terry - Banjo
Greg Gegogeine filled in on bass for Michael Butler who was in Bloomington attending his daughter's college graduation.
Greg Duncan filled in as duet vocalist with Hope Newby for Jim Brewer who was tending to Ellen. Ellen had been in the hospital due to having a mini-stroke. She's back home now, doing much better.
